Unilever Indonesia (ULI) responds to waste issue by initiating Trashion (Trash Fashion) project to reduce the impact of post consumer waste packaging in the environment. Trashion focuses on developing otherwise unproductive women to become entrepreneurs by educating them to turn plastic packaging waste into useful items with economic value such as bags. ULI give training, assistance, help to provide access to market and finance as well as provide the sewing machines. Started in Jakarta on 2007 with 10 entrepreneurs, now has been replicating to other cities Surabaya, Yogya and Makassar. Involve 53 entrepreneurs’ centers with total member around 600 entrepreneurs.
